Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.

Like most Koranic chapters the 'Ants' is incongruous and incoherent. There is little about 'Ants' in this Sura, except a single mention. The purpose of this chapter is to impress upon the illiterate impressionable minds of 7th century Arabia, the dialectical inevitability of Allah or Muhammad's rule. The best way to view the Koran is to regard it as an pre-modern form of post-modern Marxian dialecticism. Heavy on gibberish, fantasy and intolerance. Light on ethics and reason. Focused on enslaving the human to Muhammad:

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Praise and thanks be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He has chosen (for His Message)! Is Allah better, or (all) that you ascribe as partners (to Him)?" (Of course, Allah is Better). |
As previously reviewed, the Koranic chroniclers picked the wrong man. Any student of history could have pointed out the superiority of David over his son Solomon.
The 'Ants' make one episodic appearance in this Sura, rushing to get out of the way of King Solomon, he the descendant of the Great King David, and of course re-casted in Muslim fantasy-land as a follower of Islam: “At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: 'O you ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it.'” [27:18] Well that is Koranic rationality for you. Ants talking to other Ants about avoiding the sandaled feet of Solomon's hosts. ...
David was the unifier of the Jewish kingdom, creating a powerful and successful state circa 1000 B.C. He ranks with Joshua, his precursor by some 350 years, as the greatest of Hebrew military leaders. His son Solomon is immortalised as wise when in fact he was a famous profligate – rather unwise in many ways – and a spend-happy heir to the fortune created by his father. Public works, temples, state building of all varieties drained the Jewish treasury. His reign demonstrably weakened the Jewish state. Solomon was not the wise man of Biblical lore, but a powerful ruler who used state money and coercion to further his grip on power. A democrat and believer in individuality he was not. Neither was he pious. He was a decidely inferior man and ruler in comparison with his father.
...the Arabs inverted the true order by focusing on the wrong man, “We gave (in the past) knowledge to David and Solomon: and they both said: 'Praise be to Allah, Who has favored us above many of His servants who believe!'” [27:15] This is the only reference to David in the Sura.
The writers of the Koran would have failed most classes including logic and history. But no matter. In our times Moslems inform the peasant mass of cowed Dhimmies and Dhummies that the moon deity Hub'Allah, is really the architect of this most perfect uncreated masterpiece including the 'Ants' chapter. O Believers! just ignore the bad writing, dubious history, illogic, ridiculous prose and violence, and submit yourself to Muhammad-Allah.
Violence in the chapter about 'Ants' is rife. As with any page of the Koran about 20% of this Sura identifies Unbelievers as the enemies of Islam. The Koran is simple: follow Allah and you might be blessed with temporal and eternal blessings; reject Allah and you are surely damned in this life and the next. The Muhammad-Allah cult is particularly obsessed with the Day of 'Reckoning' or the Day of Judgement in which all non-Moslems will be punished and tormented.

And (remember) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a troop of those who denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and (then) they (all) shall be gathered (and driven to the place of reckoning), |

And (remember) the Day on which the Trumpet will be blown and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth, will be terrified except him whom Allah will (exempt). And all shall come to Him humbled. |

And you will see the mountains and think them solid, but they shall pass away as the passing away of the clouds. The Work of Allah, Who perfected all things, verily! He is Well-Acquainted with what you do. |

Whoever brings a good deed (i.e. Belief in the Oneness of Allah along with every deed of righteousness), will have better than its worth, and they will be safe from the terror on that Day. |

And whoever brings an evil (deed) (i.e. Shirk polytheism, disbelief in the Oneness of Allah and every evil sinful deed), they will be cast down (prone) on their faces in the Fire. (And it will be said to them) "Are you being recompensed anything except what you used to do?" |
Pretty clear. Follow the Muhammad-Allah or be doomed to hell.
The other verses of violence are: 4,5,12-14,51-52,69,83,85, and 93. No love for those who reject this thing called 'Allah'. Just terror and torment.
