Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.
About 600 verses in the Koran, or about 10% of the entire book, discusses slavery and in particular the 3 main forms of slavery within Islam: Moslems as slaves to the Al-Lah idol; women as slaves to their man who is in fact their owner; and Infidels and those captured in war as slaves to the Moslem cult. 30% or more of Sura 25 is violence and hate speech against the Infidel. The Koran's endless recital of Jihad and intolerance fits in very nicely with a theme of slavery. Violence, 'striving', fighting, humiliating and enslaving women and the Infidel are all mainsprings of the Islamic cult.
Sura 25 reviewed here, has the following verses on slavery:
025:017 URL And on the Day when He will gather them together and that which they worship besides Allah [idols, angels, pious men, saints, 'Iesa (Jesus) son of Maryam (Mary), etc.]. He will say: "Was it you who misled these My slaves or did they (themselves) stray from the (Right) Path?"
025:058 URL And put your trust (O Muhammad SAW) in the Ever Living One Who dies not, and glorify His Praises, and Sufficient is He as the All-Knower of the sins of His slaves;
025:063 URL And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness
Slaves of the Moslem cult. Jesus will return to earth as is prophesied in the New Testament and castigate those who are Christian for following saints, angels, men [the pope for instance] and not the Al-Lah idol alone. Jesus is thus rewritten to be a follower of Muhammad. The Lord or Al-Lah will reward those who are meek and fully reconciled to their servitude to his [or its] whims and diktats. They must utterly and completely prostrate themselves to Muhammad's idol since the Al-Lah thing knows all about the 'sins of His slaves'.
The greatest slave of his own cult, is of course the man who invented it:
025:001 URL Blessed be He Who sent down the criterion (of right and wrong, i.e. this Qur'an) to His slave (Muhammad SAW) that he may be a warner to the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns).
Since Muhammad possesses the uncreated Koran, given to him by the Al-Lah moon idol deity, he must be the most important slave of the cult. It is Muhammad's duty to warn people of what will happen if they don't follow Al-Lah. Thus the violence, visions of punishment, hell-fire, drinking of boiling water and endless eternal torture make their appearance on almost every Koranic page. There is no preaching about good works, faith, free-will, higher ethics or the Golden Rule. The Koran is a long rant about what will happen to Infidels, apostates and anyone who does not follow Muhammad:
Those who disbelieve say: "This (the Qur'an) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad SAW) has invented, and others have helped him at it, so that they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie."
See how they coin similitudes for you, so they have gone astray, and they cannot find a (Right) Path.
Nay, they deny the Hour (the Day of Resurrection), and for those who deny the Hour, We have prepared a flaming Fire (i.e. Hell).
Mock Muhammad and deny his 'book' and you will go to Hell. The Infidelophobia and lurid, crude warnings about the impending eradication of anyone who does not follow the Al-Lah cult comprises about 1/3 of this chapter. If one reads the above verses it is clear that the Al-Lah [who is the same as Muhammad], was mocked by pagans, Jews and Christians for the mish-mash and gibberish of both his sermons and of his book or set of revelations from Al-Lah. He was called the crazy poet, deemed insane and when he admitted that at age 40 he was mentally ill, this only confirmed the belief of those who viewed him not as a prophet, but as a deranged socio-path. The rage of the Koran can only come from a man, a culture, and a set of uncivilized peoples intent on force, subjugation and violence. There is no other explanation for why a 'holy book' is so concerned with the intertwined themes of war and slavery.
