Suffering through the Koran – Sura 26 named 'The Poets '.

Poetry is not violence, racism, supremacism or immoderate calls for jihad.

by Ferdinand III

The 'Poets' are never presented in this Sura. It is thus a strange title. Only Jewish prophets are paraded as instruments of Allah's will, an outrageous conflation sure to amaze Judaism's followers. So we can conclude that Jewish leaders and writers representing an ideology and faith which predates the advent of Mohammedanism by 2600 years are in effect poets of Allah. How very twisted.

This Sura like most of the Koran makes little sense. There is no organisation and theme to it. It recites the usual line of Jewish prophets who apparently supported Allah. Moses is particularly cited as an instrument of the moon deity's divine plan on earth. This repetitive claim which exists in almost every Sura gets rather boring after being reiterated hundreds of times over the first 237 pages. Creative minds the Arab writers of the Koran were not.

The main theme is simple. To Jews and Christians who lived in the Arabian peninsula in the 7th century AD their acceptance of Allah should be mandatory. Moses and the long lineage of Jewish and Christian leaders were actually in the employ of the great Arabian male moon deity ali-ilah. Noah was saved by Allah for example, and “...We drowned those who remained behind.” [26:120]. Thus does Noah become a Mohammedan.

Therefore to return to the true path of spiritual enlightenment and divine favor, these monotheists should embrace Allah – the true incarnation and representation of the Judeo-Christian ideal of 'God'.

This is of course madness.

Any person or tribe who rejected any of 'signs' given by Allah's long line of messengers dating back to 10.000 BC [the great flood must have occurred after the ending of the last ice age, and Noah probably lived along the Mediterranean or Black Sea coast]; must be destroyed. “They they will be thrown headlong into the (Fire), - they and those straying in Evil,” [26:94]. So you the human slave of Allah must fear the great deity, “So fear Allah and obey me.” [26:126]

This is repeated 8 times in this Sura. Fear the moon deity and obey its whims as constructed in the Koran, and propagated by the illiterate warrior Mohammed. Obey and fear. This sums up Islam. A system of fear, repression, with an anti-human animus.

“So they rejected him [the Messenger], and We destroyed them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe.” [26:139] And, “But the rest [who did not believe] We destroyed utterly. We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone) and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not) !” [26:173, 174]. “So fear Allah and obey me.” [26:179].

An ideology which screams that the human must fear, cringe, be prostrated, hate, destroy and follow a program is not worthy of higher civilisation. It is just another orientalist design, degrading the human and the individual and ignoring true spirituality, truth, enlightenment and intelligence. Obey Allah and fear him ? Why ? What worthy person is going to simply fall down and obey a mad-man's political ideology called submission ?
