Suffering through the Koran, Sura 62 'The Friday Prayer '.

The purpose of Friday prayer, in which women are excluded, is not to meditate or inquire about metaphysical issues or problems. There is no call to prayer in order to understand, improve or advance. The purpose of the Friday prayer is simply to venerate the Allah, the large impersonal force at work in the world which rather bizarrely according to Islamic theology recreates the world every second. The key is not to question this Allah. You must go submit yourself and follow his rules. That is what the Koran means when it discusses 'good people' and bad. The chosen ones are those who follow the Koranic cult of Allah and maybe, just maybe these cult followers will be blessed by Allah – if he decides that they are worthy:

“Such is the bounty of Allah, which he bestows on whom He will: and Allah is the Lord of the highest bounty.” [62:4] [emphasis mine]

Friday is the time to remind the followers of their duty to spread Islam in the name of Allah, the worship of his rituals:

“O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if you but knew!” [62:9]

The 'remembrance of Allah'? Where is the demand for reflection, debate, knowledge and understanding? Where is the human-centric nature of prayer ? How can someone call Islam a religion, when your prayer worship is ritualized mumblings, prostration and total submission to the thing Allah? Do Muslims even know what Allah is, or the real historical development of the idea of Al-Allah? Do they even dare to inquire and debate what Allah does or should mean ? Of course not. Just pray, shut up and go forth post-prayer and spread the good news gospel of Allah worship:

“And when the Prayer is finished, then you may disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah: and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that you may prosper.” [62:10]

No Sura is complete without supremacism and racism of course. Even though the theme is to grovel to Allah so that he might bless you with 'bounty' the Koran has to emphasize the destruction of Jews. What good religion does not engage in Jew racism!?

“The similitude of those who were charged with the (obligations of the) Mosaic Law, but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is that of a donkey which carries huge tomes (but does not understand them). Evil is the similitude of people who falsify the Signs of Allah: and Allah does not guide people who do wrong.” [62:5]

The Jews are thus stupid donkeys in the Koran. How tolerant. How religious. The Jews were too dumb to know that every natural signal, sent every natural second, comes from the thing Allah – even though Allah was invented by Mohammed some 3800 years after Hebraism started to develop. Allah of course is not Yahweh. The two concepts have nothing in common. Al-Allah is the Meccan moon idol, who in the Koran, and within the fevered brain of Mohammed, becomes the new and improved 'God' of all things and the power which replaces Judaic and Christian ideals of God. By demonizing and dehumanizing the Jew, and turning them into donkeys who are too dumb to follow the last and best 'God', it makes it easier to kill them.

Jews by the power of Allah are destined for death and hellfire anyways:

“Say: 'O you that stand on Judaism! If you think that you are friends to Allah, to the exclusion of (other) men, then express your desire for Death, if you are truthful!'” [62:6]

Nice. How loving. And if the Jews try to flee from Muslim warring and Jihad? “Say: 'The Death from which you flee will truly overtake you:...' [62:8] The Jews can't hide from Allah or his Messenger, or those who follow the cult. One day their perfidy and lack of prostration will catch up with them. They must be expunged, since they are simply ignorant asses, who carry large volumes of material, but don't have the intelligence to understand Allah's signs. If not eradicated, Allah will make sure they are punished – as this Sura says no less than 3 times.

Jew hate is endemic within the Koran. This Sura is yet another example of that fact. I have no idea why a theology which targets Jews, and pagans [including Trinitarian Christians, Buddhists, and Hindus] for destruction is named a 'religion'. It is a political program. No program of free will, tolerance, the Golden Rule, or metaphysical inquiry would ever be written like the Koran is. None.
