Geert Wilders on trial for 'Blasphemy against Islam'

The courtroom speech by Wilders as he returns to be tried by a Dutch court for 'blasphemies' against the moon cult of Mecca, or Islam, is a masterpiece in fact, logic and emotion. This trial is Europe's shame. Free men are not free anymore. As Wilders' so poignantly relates, the mental illness of Cultural Marxism and immoral relativity are indeed ensuring that the 'Lights are going out all over Europe.' The persecution of Wilders is nothing less than the imposition of Fascist aka National Socialist force and coercion. Without free speech there is no civil society and no general freedom. None. As Geert states:

The lights are going out all over Europe. All over the continent where our culture flourished and where man created freedom, prosperity and civilization. The foundation of the West is under attack everywhere.

All over Europe the elites are acting as the protectors of an ideology that has been bent on destroying us for fourteen centuries. An ideology that has sprung from the desert and that can produce only deserts because it does not give people freedom. The Islamic Mozart, the Islamic Gerard Reve [a Dutch author], the Islamic Bill Gates; they do not exist because without freedom there is no creativity. The ideology of Islam is especially noted for killing and oppression and can only produce societies that are backward and impoverished. Surprisingly, the elites do not want to hear any criticism of this ideology.

My trial is not an isolated incident. Only fools believe it is. All over Europe multicultural elites are waging total war against their populations. Their goal is to continue the strategy of mass immigration, which will ultimately result in an Islamic Europe — a Europe without freedom: Eurabia.

How true it is. Eurabia. In Russia now reside some 35 million Muslims. In Europe another 30 million. These populations will rise, perhaps doubling in the next generation. Charles Martel, the Catholic Crusades, Malta 1565, Vienna 1683...the massive cost in blood, treasure and disruption of European civilisation against a cult named Submission which merges Church and State is one of epic proportions and inanity. There is little in history which can match this profound Western self-immolation upon the alters of Cultural Marxism and secular irrationality.

Geert is perfectly right. It is clear that Islam has nothing in common with Western traditions and greatness. When Wilders says “The Islamic Mozart, the Islamic Gerard Reve [a Dutch author], the Islamic Bill Gates; they do not exist because without freedom there is no creativity. The ideology of Islam is especially noted for killing and oppression and can only produce societies that are backward and impoverished. Surprisingly, the elites do not want to hear any criticism of this ideology.”, he is right. Islam has produced little of value in 1400 years – and certainly nothing which comprises original creation and genius. How could a closed, autarchic, supremacist and racist theology generate anything which would improve man's material or spiritual world ? It is impossible.

Of course great wits always point out the tired old examples of Avicenna and Averroes as the apogees of Muslim intellectual dominance and cunning, even though they lived in societies which openly persecuted Jews, burnt books which criticized Islam [Averroes entire works were burnt in 1165 in Cordoba, that supposed center of learning and genius]; and engaged in yearly Jihad to procure sex slaves, enchained workers and domestic servants from Christian and non-Muslim territory. Compared to medieval European thinkers ranging from Alcuin to St. Thomas, the best that can be said of both Avicenna and Averroes is that they had learnt the ancient Greek traditions from Christians and Jews, but had not yet developed a mentality to question it or criticize the non-scientific irrationality embedded in much of Aristotelian thematics. The ancient Greeks never invented science, though they did create some mature forms of mathematics – the basis of science. Muslims never improved on this Greek thought, they simply accepted what was given to them as the end of all 'facts'. Ancient Greek theology fit very nicely into the world-view of Avicenna, Averroes and Islamic theocracy that 'rules', 'ancient canons', and 'old customs' explain the world around us. We cannot improve on Aristotle, any more than a mere human can improve on Allah's Koran. As I wrote before when reviewing Reilly's great book 'The Closing of the Muslim Mind':

“It took the Asharites some 200 years to expunge Mutazilitism from Islam. Some Mutazilite philosophers still appeared in the 10^th and 11^th century in the forms of Alfarabi, Avicenna, and Averroes. But they were weak and without followers in a Muslim world quickly cementing Asharite and Hanbalist fundamentalism into every aspect of Islamic life. Free will was destroyed. Rationality mocked. As Reilly explains – the destruction of reason became an obsession of the Asharites and Hanbalites:

“The Asharite view developed a theological basis for the primacy of will by claming that the revelation of Muhammad emphasizes most particularly, and above all, two attributes of God: His uncompromising omnipotence and will. 'Allah does what He wills' (Quran 14:27). God's nature is His will...But the Asharite argument reduced God to His omnipotence by concentrating exclusively on His unlimited power, as against His reason. His 'reasons are unknowable by man.””

Islam has never known freedom of any variety. There is no proof which can be offered by any serious student of Islamic history of anything resembling the rise of a reformed, mixed Constitutional and mixed secular-religious structure found only in Western Europe's rise to world dominance. Freedom of speech has never existed in Islamic history. The persecution of Averroes and Avicenna, the 2 sacred 'giants' of Islamic thought make this fact plain. They were harassed to not only support the Asharite state and theology but even to extravagantly support Jihad and the destruction of Dhimmis. Not to do so would probably have earned them hard labor or an early meeting with the Allah thing. Wilders is historically accurate when he states:

The lights are going out all over Europe. Anyone who thinks or speaks individually is at risk. Freedom-loving citizens who criticize Islam, or even merely suggest that there is a relationship between Islam and crime or honour killing, must suffer, and are threatened or criminalized. Those who speak the truth are in danger.

The lights are going out allover Europe. Everywhere the Orwellian thought police are at work, on the lookout for thought crimes everywhere, casting the populace back within the confines where it is allowed to think.

This trial is not about me. It is about something much greater. Freedom of speech is not the property of those who happen to belong to the elites of a country. It is an inalienable right, the birthright of our people. For centuries battles have been fought for it, and now it is being sacrificed to please a totalitarian ideology.

The great struggle in human history has been around freedom and the liberation of the human from a centralized despotic force, be that Kingly rule, arbitrary National Socialist Fascism, Marxist-Communism, or today's political correct cultural Marxism. The battle for freedom never ends. It can't. That is why Geert Wilders must be freed from this monstrosity of a trial, and the current Euro elite cast away into the rubbish bins where they belong with the other totalitarians of history.
