Musrifun – 'The Profligate'. Meaning the Infidel

 Musrifun or Al-Musrifun are non-Muslims who are by nature and design [since Allah controls all even the path to Unbelief which he lays out for the Kufar], extravagant Kufars and Unbelievers who have rejected Islam. The Arabic word 'Musrifun' is roughly translated as 'those who are extravagant' or wasteful. Thus Muslimophiles will squeal with delight that the Koran is teaching thrift and good resource usage. But this is of course false. What Musrifun clearly denotes the profligate lifestyle of Unbelievers. Since they have forsaken the Allah-thing and rejected Mohammed's book of Recital, the non-Muslims are 'wasting' not only their spiritual and psychological lives in obeisance to another deity or pagan cult; but they are consuming and destroying Allah's resources, given to Muslims to enjoy, not Infidels. The world again, cleaved neatly in two.

How do we know that Musrifun are Kufars and Infidels? The Koran tells us directly:

51-34 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). [Hilali Khan translation].

and

21-9 Then We fulfilled to them the promise, and We saved them and those whom We willed, but We destroyed Al-Musrifun (i.e. extravagants in oppression, polytheism and in sin).

Jews and Christians rejected Moahmmed as a 'prophet', rightly viewing him as a deranged personality who had scattered but dangerous knowledge of the Old and New Testaments. Arab pagans and polytheists were also unwilling to believe that the El-Lah moon deity was now suddenly and irrevocably, the only 'one' celestial object to be venerated. Early in the Muslim mission, Mohammed and his small band were thus ridiculed, harassed and 'oppressed' by first the polytheistic Meccans and then later by the Jews of Medina, whom Mohammed over 7 years wiped out in war and jihad. The above two Suras were written when Islam was weak. Later Suras or chapters such as 9 and 4 abrogate this weakness with demands to wage war and Jihad against all non-Muslims. No Muslim or Islamic scholar will deny this. In any event Muslims early on were told to avoid non-Muslims who are illustrated in the Koran as being deluded, evil, unjust and profligate [see Zalimun, Fasiqun, Mujrimun, Furqan]:

26-151 And follow not the command of Al-Musrifun [i.e. their chiefs, leaders who were polytheists, criminals and sinners],

In Islam's formative development the Muslim cult was warned of the unholy nature of the Musrifun. This included their 'extravagant' living and 'waste' of resources. Muslims of course could and would partake in the urbanity of civilised existence once they had conquered and eradicated the Jewish-Christian presence in North Arabia and Syria; and the Persian in Al-Iraq and beyond. This is hypocrisy of course. The Allah-thing seems very content that his Muslim devotees can enjoy the fruits of civilisation and 'extravagant' Kufar-style living. But he does not want the Infidel Kufars to be so blessed:

36-19 They (Messengers) said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? Nay, but you are a people Musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allah).

Allah, who controls all matter of existence as a kind of super-natural dialectical force forces the Unbeliever into Musrifun status. The Koran is abundantly clear that Allah will pre-ordain that the Jews, Christians and polytheists are 'led' by him into rejecting his power and are therefore 'set up' for punishment:

40-34 And indeed Yusuf (Joseph) did come to you, in times gone by, with clear signs, but you ceased not to doubt in that which he did bring to you, till when he died you said: "No Messenger will Allah send after him." Thus Allah leaves astray him who is a Musrif (a polytheist, oppressor, a criminal, sinner who commit great sins) and a Murtab (one who doubts Allah's Warning and His Oneness).

and

40-28....Verily, Allah guides not one who is a Musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who shed blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar!

Muslims should expect that Allah will punish these profligate and high-living Musrifun. Not for these transgressors the virgins, water and wine of the Muslim male heaven, but only eternal damnation and hellfire:

40-43 "No doubt you call me to (worship) one who cannot grant (me) my request (or respond to my invocation) in this world or in the Hereafter. And our return will be to Allah, and Al-Musrifun (i.e. polytheists and arrogants, those who commit great sins, the transgressors of Allah's set limits)! They shall be the dwellers of the Fire!

This is pretty clear. I don't see how the Muslim-lovers can rewrite the above Koranic Suras and turn the dichotomy of the world between the 'just' or Muslim nation; and the 'extravagant' or Kufar nation; into a multi-cult nirvana of tolerance and harmony. The words simply state that non-Muslims are to be ignored, and punished, for their supposed 'extravagance' meaning their rejection of the Allah-thing. Period. How is such a concept 'religious'? Pray tell.
