Holy Koran! Sura 26 or 'The Poets'

The poets in this verse are the pagan Arabs who ridiculed Muhammad during his reign in Medina and during the last few years of his life in Mecca. Needless to say most of them were slaughtered including a female poet in her 80s. Making fun of Allah's most cherished 'prophet' usually results in violence. The other 'poets' are the long line of Jewish and Christian prophets, all of whom were preaching for Allah of course:

“Only Jewish prophets are paraded as instruments of Allah's will, an outrageous conflation sure to amaze Judaism's followers. So we can conclude that Jewish leaders and writers representing an ideology and faith which predates the advent of Mohammedanism by 2600 years are in effect poets of Allah. How very twisted. 

This Sura like most of the Koran makes little sense. There is no organisation and theme to it. It recites the usual line of Jewish prophets who apparently supported Allah. Moses is particularly cited as an instrument of the moon deity's divine plan on earth. This repetitive claim which exists in almost every Sura gets rather boring after being reiterated hundreds of times over the first 237 pages. Creative minds the Arab writers of the Koran were not. 

The main theme is simple. To Jews and Christians who lived in the Arabian peninsula in the 7th century AD their acceptance of Allah should be mandatory. Moses and the long lineage of Jewish and Christian leaders were actually in the employ of the great Arabian male moon deity ali-ilah. Noah was saved by Allah for example, and “...We drowned those who remained behind.” [26:120]. Thus does Noah become a Mohammedan. 

Therefore to return to the true path of spiritual enlightenment and divine favor, these monotheists should embrace Allah – the true incarnation and representation of the Judeo-Christian ideal of 'God'.”

How true and how banal. Islamic dialecticism does wear a little thin, the 1000^th time you read it. Islam is uber-alles because Allah said so. Judaism and Christianity were just 'phases' in the inevitable development of Islam as the end stage of human development. This is true because Allah and Muhammad said so. Science closed.

Of more import is the general violence of Sura 26. Along with Islamic supremacism embedded in its Arab Marxian dialectical, the use of violence and the demonization of non-Moslems, is the other great theme of the Allah cult. This Sura is particularly concerned with the message that to be a good member of the cult, you must 'fear Allah and obey me', mentioned no less than 11 times [11, 108, 110, 124, 126, 131, 144, 150, 163, 179, 184]. Fearing Allah and acting like his slave is hardly conducive to free-will, thinking, independence and inquiry. This mandate to 'fear Allah' also leads the true believer into a hatred of those who refuse to follow the Moslem cult. In this Sura fully 18% of the verses target the Unbeliever for violence. Some notable verses in this regard are the following:

Associating anything or anyone with the 'Allah', though the Koran never defines who the 'ilah or one' is, will bring onto you a grievous penalty. Shaitun or Satan is openly allied with the Jews and Christians, and these 'evil ones' will perish in hellfire. Allah if he so wills it will simply destroy whomever he wills. Not much of a religious program here.

Islam does not hold up to scrutiny. Shine a bright light into the sewer of Islamic liturgy and exegesis and one will find what one expects to find in sewage system, including nothing of metaphysical importance. Moslems believe that the Allah-thing, a mixture of Hub'Allah the moon deity and aspects of Judaic monotheism, 'wrote' out the perfect 'mother of all books', and transmitted its contents verbally to Muhammad via the archangel Gabriel [famous in Christian liturgy as the messenger to Mary informing her of the immaculate conception – what a coincidence...]. If this is true the Allah was a very poor poet indeed.
