One-third of the Arab world is illiterate.

One of the many by-products of Islam and Arab imperialism.

by Ferdinand III

The deep seated poverty of the Arab world in all its forms – spiritual, mental, corporate, governmental, militarily – is a direct consequence of Islam and Arab culture. Over 100 million Arabs out of a total population of 300 million are illiterate. There is no possibility of building a rational, civilised, and modern society from such a sociological disaster. Terror, extremism, hate, and irrationality would be the expected norms. This is especially true when half of all Arabs are under the age of 25.

The Arab world, like the broader Islamic world is a gigantic failure. The Arab world today cannot be divorced from its Islamic heritage, nor from its violent, imperialist and crude past. The Arabs conquered in a little over 3 centuries, vast tracts of the planet displacing Jews, Christians, Hamitics, Semitics, Iranians, Turks, Indians, Chinese, Berbers and even Indonesians from their natural abodes. The slaughter, like the Arab imperialist advance, was swift and immense.

At least 100-150 million people were killed by Arab imperialism over 3 centuries - the largest such demographic reduction by war in history. In India alone the Arabs, followed by the Turks exterminated at least 100 million Hindus and non-Muslims from 750 A.D. to early modern times. The Muslim Taj Mahal was built for example, with Hindu dead and with Hindu-paid taxes.

Islam as a doctrine of submission and ritualisation militates and prevents education. It is no surprise that Islam generates terror and fascism – nothing else should be expected from a book such as the Koran. Averroes and Avicenna, two Arab 'philosophers' who are always used by Arab apologists as great examples of the 'Arab enlightenment' were in actual fact practicing Muslims who supported Jihad. They might have supported fundamentalist Islam either out of conviction or out of a fear of being killed, but nonetheless they were thorough-going Arabs living off the richer civilisation's and the translations by Jews, Christians, Nestorians and Greeks of the ancient world's learning. There was no Arab golden age. The Arabs simply conquered and squatted on advanced civilisations and trade routes [see here ].

Today the poverty of Islam and Arab culture is plain to see. War, anti-semiticism, terror, mutilation of women, slave trading and even racial genocide in the Sudan. The Arab world is a complete and utter disaster and one self-generated, stemming from the Koran, Islamic doctrines and Arab cultural artifacts – which of course are the basis of Islam and its main book.

The Arab world has a real unemployment rate of at least 25 % and Arab societies do not generate the jobs needed to keep their populations gainfully busy. Arab culture and economics are stultified by the state, corruption and fundamentalism in its many spiritual and temporal forms. Half the population is under 25 with many youth mired in illiteracy and a large percentage of teenagers not even in schools. The young people have little to look forward to. It is even worse for women – whom Arabs have historically viewed as chattle or meat. In many Arab states women are not allowed jobs, are not educated and are generally viewed as little more than sexual material to be owned or traded. A liberated, progressive culture this is not.

When half your population is bored, illiterate and has no future, and when the premise of your cultural legacy is the totalitarian submission of the Koran and Islam, fundamentalist radicalism is going to breed and spread. This is obvious. The Arab culture has never put a high premium on life, women, children or education. Neither does the Koran. It should not surprise anyone that the Arabs have almost the opposite program of the Jews. The Jews value life, culture, education and innovation. The Arabs don't. The Arab elite might be obsessed with power, money, oil, and weekend sojournal sex in India, but they could care less about their suffering populations of illiterates, ostracized females; and youths increasingly drawn to radicalism to provide meaning to their lives.

Arab poverty and oppression of most of its citizenry is simply a historical legacy and one that finds its historical echo throughout the 1400 years of Arab-Muslim imperialism. Modern Arab squalor in all matters spiritual, economic, political and social is nothing new. Arab culture produces illiteracy, hate, anti-modern fascism, and racism. This is a simple historical fact.

The Jews re-populated Israel starting in the 1880s and took what was an Arab-inspired and created desert; poor, under-developed and neglected, and turned it into a modern, functioning, open, liberal and free state. Arabs are simply incapable of this. There is no record in Arab history of an Arab state or group, improving culture, civilisation, or fashioning a modern state from the ruins of the old. When half your population is either illiterate or semi-enslaved, and your reigning ideology is something as fascistic as Islamic orthodoxy or as pre-modern as the Koran, this is not a surprise
