Suffering through the Koran, Sura 35 'The Originator of Creation'.

Ali-ilah the male Meccan mood deity is credited by credulous Muslims for creating the world! Sounds rational, plausible and spiritual does it not! If you believe this fable you can obtain an after-life. If you deny that the Meccan moon god made our earth and now manages men, you will die: “For those who reject Allah, is a terrible penalty: but for those who believe and work righteous deeds, is Forgiveness, and a magnificent Reward.” [35:7] The claim is rather curious. A 5.000 year old Meccan moon deity, once 'protected' in a shrine by the tribe and family of Mohammed, is conflated into the Master of the Universe. Excuse the sentient for being skeptical.

The family deity of Mohammed is no more a universal God than any other family or tribe specific deity invoked to preserve, enhance or restore the good fortunes of the importuners in question. Taking ali-ilah and making him THE creator of all that we see, feel, touch, and observe is to put it mildly – rather weird. “He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night, and He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His Law)....” [35:13] Sure he does.

The main theme of the Sura is that the human must have mindless compliance with the injunction of Allah's omnipotence. In lieu of modern rationality and science, or in the place of complex metaphysical and spiritual constructs, we are assaulted by the repetitive and tiresome claim that Allah rules because we the Muslims say so. There is no explanation of who or what Allah is; nor are there any details given as to why we must believe that a Meccan moon deity is actually the animating force behind everything in the universe.

Just believe and shut up: “That which We have revealed to you of the Book is the Truth, - confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly – with respect to His servants – well acquainted and fully Observant.” [35:31]

Anyone who has read the Koran knows it reveals nothing. It steals from Jewish Biblical texts all of its stories and parables; it engages in racism, supremacism and hate; and it mandates Muslim rule over the globe. It is not a holy book, but a book of war and vile violence.

“In the end I punished those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them) !” [35:26]

This sentence is the essence of this Sura. Blindly obey what the Muslim moon cult orders. The family deity of Mohammed is alas, your only true guide to the after-life. Follow and submit to the hatred and racism of the Koran. Fight for Allah. If you don't you will perish.

“But those who reject (Allah) – for them will be the Fire of Hell: no term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every ungrateful one!” [35:36]

There is nothing spiritual about theological fascist injunctions centred around the Meccan moon cult. Follow us or die! is not an exercise in ethics or morality. It is a clarion call to domination, violence and hatred of the 'other'. A religion Islam is not. This Sura is just more proof of that fact.
