May 20th 2010 was 'Draw Mohammed Day' on Facebook and across the blogosphere. Many pictures were made of the Arab military adventurer, who stole and corrupted parts of Judaism, Christianity and melded them with Arab paganism to create the most intolerant creed yet established in the history of man – that being the cult of Submission. Mohammed's creed is barren, totalitarian, uninspiring, fascist, and anti-modern. Muslims rioting over 'pictures' only illustrates the mental barrenness of the Arab cult.
There are two reasons why Muslims don't allow images – any images for that matter – of anything relating to the Koran or Mohammed. The first is that Islam is a totalitarian fundamentalism which does not allow debate, inquiry or rationality. In such a system, painting, icons, or artistic license cannot be permitted because it might initiate debate, call into question Islamic pieties; or highlight aspects of the Koran and Mohammed's life that Muslims would like to leave alone. Secondly, by preventing images of Mohammed, Muslim's can erect myths about the man, and portray him as something he is not – namely a prophet; a holy man or a good person.
For these two reasons Islam prevents the creation of any images associated with any parts of the Koran. After all, which Muslim wants to see a cartoon depicting Muslims drinking camel piss because Mohammed told them that this would be healthy ? That would have repercussions wouldn't it illustrating the poverty, the illiteracy, and the disavowal of common-sense which permeates the Koran and Islam. The laws against drawing Mohammed are found in the Hadiths or explanations of Mohammed and the Koran:
Sahih Muslim vol.3 no.5268 (p.1160) says, "Ibn ‘Umar reported Allah’s Messenger having said: Those who paint pictures would be punished on the Day of Resurrection and it would be said to them: Breathe soul into what you have created."
Notice that the prohibition was not just against idolators who made pictures, or even Muslims who made pictures for other reasons, but for anyone who made pictures.
Sahih Muslim vol.3 no.5271 (p.1161) gives a little more detail: "This hadith has been reported on the authority of Abu Mu’awiya though another chain of transmitters (and the words are): ‘Verily the most grievously tormented people amongst the denizens [inhabitants] of Hell on the Day of Resurrection would be the painters of pictures."
"Narrated ‘Aisha: Allah’s Apostle said, ‘The painter of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, Make alive what you have created.’" Bukhari vol.9 book 93 no.646 p.487. no.647 p.487 is the same except it is narrated by Ibn ‘Umar.
No pictures of people or animals according to Bukhari vol.4 book 54 no.447-450 p.297-299.
Another fact which is not well known is that Mohammed hated painters and poets and this hatred of the arts informs these Hadiths. In fact Mohammed had 4 poets and other artists murdered for framing him in unflattering ways. This is why, in my view, that pictures of the illiterate racist, slave owner, slave-trade, plunderer, Arab military commander, and a man who at age 53 had sex with a 9 year old; are prohibited. There is simply too much material to destroy Mohammed's Koranic image of the ideal person, with his real image. Ergo, Muslims must suppress any and all illustrations or pictures of their rather insane leader.
Iconography is however allowed in Christianity. This is a signal different between the two creeds. Arab theology demands submission to Mohammed, the perfect male role model for Muslims. He cannot be drawn, because he is the perfect symbol of the Ali-ilah or the Meccan male moon cult. He cannot be depicted because he is the greatest man of all time [and no doubt quite jealous of the Obama-cult's claim to the contrary]. No ordinary human can possibly have the skill to recreate the image of Allah's favourite human.
Christianity which provided reason through faith, operates completely differently. There are so many debates and sects within Christian theology that an 'order' to stop iconography would not only be against the ethics of the religion itself; but also counter-productive and impossible to implement. Christians want to understand truth, and logic, but also the beauty and mystery of nature and of spirituality as well. Islam has no such pretensions to reason, rationality, spiritual inquiry or beauty. Obey the Koran, obey Allah, and obey Mohammed. That is the Muslim credo. It is the most empty and ignorant of theologies.
Muslim theocratic fascism precludes artistic achievement. Christian doctrine promotes it. Christians have always sought the true likeness of 'God', and 'heaven', and their masters have attempted to recreate the power of the Christian ideal and its gospels, in the form of art. The greatest pieces of Western art have been religiously-inspired. There are no great works of Muslim art, they simply don't exist. There is not one single Muslim artist who could even carry the paint box for even the most average of Western pre-Renaissance, medieval artists. Artistic expression, innovation, the use of light, paint formations, paint creations [oil, water, mixed]; and various types of canvasses cannot be found anywhere in Islam, yet they are everywhere apparent in the medieval Christian world as far back as the 6th century AD.
Can there be any greater display of Islamic ignorance and backwardness, than the obvious fact that Islam has no great artists ?
Starting from the death of Christ there were debates within Christendom about the morality of showing God or his son, or the symbols of divine power. In Eastern Christianity there were a few desultory periods of icon destruction or suppression. But those phases gave way to common sense and creativity. Orthodox Christianity still reveres icon worship with Asimov and other Russian painters having produced colossal and at times, spectacular pieces. Roman Christianity of course, developed some of the world's greatest artistic pieces around religious symbols, iconography and illustrative scenes denoting Biblical importance. The Van Eycks, Giotto, Da Vinci, Raphael, and Titian have no equals in Islamic art. Literally dozens of top European masters were religious producers of paintings, sculptures, frescoes and icons that have no equal in world history.
The importance of 'Draw Mohammed Day' is this: Islam has no artistic history. This surely proves the barrenness of the Arab fascist ideology.
In Islam iconography or the illustration of anything, is a sin; and punishable. Think about the mentality of a philosophy where drawing pictures of any kind is considered unjust. Where is Islamic art ? Where are the Muslim 'master painters' ? Where is the Islamic Giotto ? Nowhere. In fact there is no Islamic art to speak of. Is that a surprise ? Of course not. Not if one is acquainted with the true nature of Islam, and the true history of its rather insane founder.
