Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.

More fun times in the Koran. Every 'religious' document has to contain ¼ of hate speech does it not? Maybe moderate Moslems can explain this verse from Sura 37, purportedly about 'Those arranged in ranks' meaning of course those who follow Muhammad/Allah:

(It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." |

(It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. |

|
"Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); |
In the Koran Satan is always linked with Jews, Christians and Arab pagans. It is a sin in Islam to associate anything with the Muhammad/Allah idol or deity. Polytheistic practices such as a Trinity of God are outlawed in Koranic theology, punishable by death.

Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. |

Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). |
This fact is rather clear. Only Allah/Muhammad can be venerated. Any other practice is deemed to be a criminal polytheism, or a sinful disobedience. Benign and irrational obeisance is the whole point of Muhammad's cult. As the title of this chapter makes clear, the pious Moslems should be arranged in obedient–slavish ranks ready to please Allah. By so doing, the individual male Moslem might be blessed:

Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). |

So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). |
|
|
Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], |
|
|
Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! |
|
|
There is not one of us (angels) but has his known place (or position); |
|
|
Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); |
|
|
Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). |
And earlier in the Sura the promises are made to the 'slaves' of Allah who stand 'in rank' devoted to Muhammad/Allah:

Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). |
|
|
For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). |
|
|
Fruits; and they shall be honoured, |
|
|
In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), |
|
|
Facing one another on thrones, |
|
|
Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; |
|
|
White, delicious to the drinkers, |
|
|
Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. |
|
|
And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. |
This is a pretty good deal. Be a 'slave' of Muhammad/Allah and the Gardens, Wine and Hot 'chaste' Females are all yours. What exactly do Moslem women get from following Muhammad? The Koran is very silent on this. It appears that Moslem males win big time. But not much is offered for the lowly female.
The
rest of mankind are even more unlucky than Moslem women. Of the 182
verses in this chapter ¼ preach violence and hostility against the
Unbeliever – the Koranic average in fact. The offending verses
include:
9,10,18,20,22,23,31,32-34,38-39,63-71,73,97,98,136,163,170,173,175,176,177,179.
Some of the more lurid and obvious incitements to hate against the Unbeliever are the following:

Then on the top of that they will be given boiling water to drink so that it becomes a mixture (of boiling water and Zaqqum in their bellies). |

Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. |
|
|
Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). |
|
|
Then We destroyed the rest. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. |
|
|
And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. |
The 'hosts' or armies of Muhammad will be the 'victors' over the Unbelievers. Those who do not follow Muhammad will be destroyed [as nations were destroyed by Allah in times past]; and upon their deaths will be tortured in hell by drinking boiling water, only to be thrust back into the fires. Sounds very civilised.
This Sura also makes the absurd claim that Abraham and his son Isaac, both of whom were Hebrews out of Mesopotamia, were in actual fact Moslem. This curious re-writing of history gives Moslems the excuse to slaughter and wipe out Jewry. All in the name of Allah, because Allah says so. Jews and their sect the Christians have forsaken the true path or Sharia as developed by Abraham and his supposed devotion to Allah. For these sins they must be punished. The many verses in this chapter inciting hate and violence against Unbelievers makes this rather clear.
