Western Civilisation

Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was  superior to anything Islam had developed.  Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam.  Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions.  Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'.  Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.

The Iranian people do support Ahmadinejad and radical Islam.

It is an oft-quoted lie that all Muslims are peaceful and rational. They aren`t.

by Ferdinand III

One of the great hoary myths is that all, most, or `the great majority`of Muslims are peaceful, unsupportive of Islamic fascism and quite willing to accommodate themselves to Western ways and mores. It is in this context that the recent Iranian elections are being reported. According to Western news outlets few in Iran want the Ahmadinejad gang and his Mullah friends in power. This is another lie. Fascisms never survive without widespread support – and international allies. My guess is that a large plurality of Iranians do support theocratic fascism.

No one knows who voted for what in Iran but two things are clear. First, the Mousavi candidacy whilst marginally better than the Ahmadinejad cult and the Mullahs, was still an Islamist and fundamentalist proposition. A Western supporter and reformer he is not, and the Mullahs who run the country and who are selected and not elected, would have been unaffected by a Mousavi victory. Second, out of about 35 million voting age Iranians at least 20 million, and quite likely upwards of 25 million Iranian voters, accepted and supported the Ahmadinejad regime. This is the real story in Iran – the widespread acclamation that the Ahmadinejad regime enjoys.

The Western media and elite have to pronounce the usual standard multi-cult, Marxist fare that Islam is peaceful and there is no way that educated, intelligent Iranians or Muslims would want to live under a theological fascist regime. This has been the politically correct default position for decades. 9-11, Darfur, Arabs murdering each other in Iraq; the GIA in Algeria; Arafat and 100.000 Christian dead in Lebanon; 5.000 Jews wiped out in the past 7 years in Israel....all these and other Muslim inspired atrocities are blamed on the Crusades, Bush, or Western neo-colonialism or the legacies of Victorian imperialism. No right-thinking Muslim, who is in heart a lover of peace and of Arab `enlightenment` would countenance or aid such monstrosities. But of course many Muslims do – there is no other way to explain 1400 years of Islamic imperialism, warring and terror.

The reality is that Iran is the main sponsor of world terror; the main financier of Hamas and Hizbollah and an ardent devotee of racism and Jewish genocide. These are facts. What is also a fact is that 25 million or more Iranians support this regime. Such facts make little impact upon the great and capacious brains and minds who control the heights of Western media, education and culture. For these multi-cult true-believers, Islam is the holy interpretation of Arabic metaphysics as elided by a mad-man masquerading as a prophet. Ergo, Iran and all Iranians are educated people who would never condone, let alone virulently abet a theocratic fascism, which desires the establishment of a Muslim Kalipha, and the eradication of Jews, and if possible America. Of course not.

Ineluctably such illogical thinking leads to the conclusion by the Western press that the Iranian elections were gross apparitions of thievery and corruption. So-called reformers and democrats had their rightful places in power stolen by theocratic thugs and goons. The mass and majority of Iranians wanted and demanded that Iran be turned into a greater Holland, and a modern state founded upon the principles of the American Declaration, or perhaps the Parliamentary legacy of Westminster. The good people of Iran want to live in a state styled after France, not 9th century Baghdad. Or so the deep and wide brain trust assures us.

Forgive one for being a skeptic.

If the Iranian people want reform, freedom and Western ties, why then the massive support for Ahmadinejad`s regime ? Maybe Muslims and Iranians – for many reasons – do prefer to live in a fundamentalist Islamic regime which is opposed to Western history, and conceptions and abstract notions about humanism and rights. Perhaps Iran is a fundamentalist Islamic state, one dedicated to spreading the corrosive and fascistic totality of the Koran. How is that for an interpretation ? Or is the world so grey and complex that such facts which appear to grin at us directly face à face should be ignored ?

Perhaps a minority of Iranian people do want reforms, freedom, the right to assemble and the right to parlay. Perhaps the youth in the urban centers do desire some form of cosmopolitanism. But then again maybe these reformers just want a lighter version of Islam, a less fundamentalist interpretation of their scriptures, more freedom for the female; a less millennial preoccupation with Jew destruction and perhaps even a better relationship with the Great Satan itself – America. All of these are worthy objectives of course. But they will not and do not mean that Iran wants to be Westernized.

The reality is this - Iran possesses a fundamentalist Muslim regime with widespread political, social and military support. Fascism's never survive without the Marxist conception of cross-class appeal. It is simply another Western media lie that all Iranians are reformers and reject totalitarian fascism. They don`t. The recent election is proof of that.
