Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.
Running totals from Sura 2 to 35:
Total number of verses from Sura 2 to 35: 3698
Total number of verses in 2-35, which preach violence against non-Moslems: 820
Violent verses as a % of total from Sura 2 to 35: 22 %
Sura 2 to 35 as a % of the 6346 verses in the Koran: 58%
[meaning still lots more violence to go....]
A screed on why the Allah-thing is God uber alles. Allah is never defined in the Koran or within Islamic liturgy of course. Historical records, archaeology and the writings of the Arabs themselves, not to mention the practices of Muhammad's kin during the early 7th century make it obvious that Allah is not a 'Christian God' look-a-like, but simply a male moon deity or 'ilah', namely the 'Lord or One'. Hub'Al the Meccan moon 'god', with his origins in Assyro-Babylonian culture, was the reigning ilah when Muhammad was born. Muhammad's own Grandfather was a caretaker at Hub'Al's shrine outside the Kabaa or cube sanctuary in which 360 idols resided. As detailed before:
“A 5.000 year old Meccan moon deity, once 'protected' in a shrine by the tribe and family of Mohammed, is conflated into the Master of the Universe. Excuse the sentient for being sceptical.
The family deity of Mohammed is no more a universal God than any other family or tribe specific deity invoked to preserve, enhance or restore the good fortunes of the importuners in question. Taking ali-ilah and making him THE creator of all that we see, feel, touch, and observe is to put it mildly – rather weird. “He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night, and He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His Law)....” [35:13] Sure he does.
The main theme of the Sura is that the human must have mindless compliance with the injunction of Allah's omnipotence. In lieu of modern rationality and science, or in the place of complex metaphysical and spiritual constructs, we are assaulted by the repetitive and tiresome claim that Allah rules because we the Muslims say so. There is no explanation of who or what Allah is; nor are there any details given as to why we must believe that a Meccan moon deity is actually the animating force behind everything in the universe.
Just believe and shut up: “That which We have revealed to you of the Book is the Truth, - confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly – with respect to His servants – well acquainted and fully Observant.” [35:31]
Islam is an irrational, unthinking cult. Obey, never debate, never inquire, and if you do not follow Muhammad or the Allah-thing, you will be punished. Allah and Muhammad are conflated in the Koran of course, and appear to be the same. With cults violence is never far away. Nazism and Communism are instructive on this point.
This Sura has 45 verses and 13 or almost 1/3 openly preach violence, supremacism and hate against those who do not follow Muhammad. The offending verses are: 6-10, 16, 22, 26, 36, 37, 39, 43, and 44. This is rather standard in the Moslem holy book. Infidels for example are linked to Satan making it easier to kill them – evil permeates and informs those who refuse to follow Muhammad:
Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is an enemy to you, so take (treat) him as an enemy. He only invites his Hizb (followers) that they may become the dwellers of the blazing Fire. |
Moslems are clearly superior according to Allah/Muhammad and only Allah/Muhammad has free will:
Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism). |
and
Nor are (alike) the living (believers) and the dead (disbelievers). Verily, Allah makes whom He will hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves. |
Notice that the 'disbelievers' are already dead in the Koran. Either the Infidel will be slaughtered in this life or the next, as the following verses inform us:
Those who disbelieve, theirs will be a severe torment; and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). |
If He will, He could destroy you and bring about a new creation. |
Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment)! |
But those who disbelieve, (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither it will have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever! |
Not much love for the Unbeliever here. The main theme is that a true Moslem is simply a slave of Muhammad/Allah. A demand often stated in the Koran and repeated 3 times in this chapter:
And of men and AdDawab (moving living creatures, beasts, etc.), and cattle, in like manner of various colours. It is only those who have knowledge among His slaves that fear Allah. Verily, Allah is AllMighty, OftForgiving. |
|
Then We gave the Book the Qur'an) for inheritance to such of Our slaves whom We chose (the followers of Muhammad SAW). Then of them are some who wrong their ownselves, and of them are some who follow a middle course, and of them are some who are, by Allah's Leave, foremost in good deeds. That (inheritance of the Qur'an), that is indeed a great grace. |
|
And if Allah were to punish men for that which they earned, He would not leave a moving (living) creature on the surface of the earth, but He gives them respite to an appointed term, and when their term comes, then verily, Allah is Ever AllSeer of His slaves. |
Moslems need to explain this. Are 'slaves' really a part of a theology of liberation? Or do slaves exist in a cult? Is mindless irrationality and acceptance of Allah/Muhammad's dictums the sign of a religion, or of a cult? The questions answer themselves.
