Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.

There is lots of compulsion in the Koran. The Infidel – the most loathsome of creatures in Allah's universe – are so perverse, criminal, polluted and dangerous, that they must be expunged from this world and tortured in the next. So spake the Koran:
“Sura 44 is about the end of time, and the terror that all infidels will face at that moment. The Meccan male moon deity and family idol of Mohammed al-ilah or Allah, “hears and knows (all things)” [44:6]. He will thus know who is a real Muslim and who is not. One day he will bring the fire and smoke of the final day, or in Islamic terminology the 'day of account'. As the smoke of destruction and the end of time rises, the Jews and infidels will be terrified. They have forsaken the moon cult and will now be punished by the moon deity; “Then you watch for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke (or mist) plainly visible, Enveloping the people: this will be a grievous Penalty. (They will say:) 'Our Lord! Remove the penalty from us, for we do really believe!' [44:10-12]”
There is only one 'Lord'. Its name is ilah or al-lah, the Meccan moon idol [or it was until the arrival of the great man Obama]. This 'Lord' knows all. He is especially vexed with those troublesome Jews, Christians and Arab pagans who adamantly refuse to follow Muhammad's 'gospel' named Recital. In this chapter only 19 verses out of 59 preach hate speech and violence against non-Moslems. The verses of offensive hate speech include: 9-13, 15-16, 22-24 [using the story of the Pharaoh and the drowning of the Egyptian army as an allegory for all Unbelievers]; 43-50, and 56. This is 'moderate' one supposes, at least from the viewpoint of Moslems and their deluded cultural Marxist supporters.
A delicious example of Moslem moderation towards non-Moslems is the following:. The tree of Zaaqum is the tree which grows in hell. Again here we have Moslems associating Satan and evil with anyone who does not follow Muhammad and his idol, the Allah:

The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive, |

Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. |

Verily, the tree of Zaqqum, |
|
|
Will be the food of the sinners, |
|
|
Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies, |
|
|
Like the boiling of scalding water. |
|
|
(It will be said) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire, |
|
|
"Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water, |
|
|
"Taste you (this)! Verily, 33you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous! |
|
|
"Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" |
Sinners in Koranic theology would be anyone who does not follow Muhammad and the Koran as these verses from Sura 44 make clear:

By the manifest Book (this Qur'an) that makes things clear, |
|
|
We sent it (this Qur'an) down on a blessed night [(i.e. night of Qadr, Surah No: 97) in the month of Ramadan, the 9th month of the Islamic calendar]. Verily, We are ever warning [mankind that Our Torment will reach those who disbelieve in Our Oneness of Lordship and in Our Oneness of worship]. |

Therein (that night) is decreed every matter of ordainments. |
|
|
Amran (i.e. a Command or this Qur'an or the Decree of every matter) from Us. Verily, We are ever sending (the Messengers), |
The Koran is uber alles. Follow it and the great 'Lord' might have mercy on you. If you don't follow it your demise and eternal burning in hell drinking boiling water is assured. Within Islam Sinners are criminals who are associated with Zalimum or Fasiqun, namely polytheists, pagans, Christians, Jews and anyone who 'rebels' or is 'rebellious' [fasiqun] against Muhammad and the cult of Allah. In fact the Koranic scribblers even had to defend Muhammad's sanity against charges that he was mentally disturbed:

How can there be for them an admonition (at the time when the torment has reached them), when a Messenger explaining things clearly has already come to them. |

Then they had turned away from him (Messenger Muhammad SAW) and said: "One (Muhammad SAW) taught (by a human being), a madman!" |

Verily, We shall remove the torment for a while. Verily! You will revert. |
|
|
On the Day when We shall seize you with the greatest grasp. Verily, We will exact retribution. |
In Moslem myth Muhammad is the greatest and latest prophet, the perfect human prince. If you dare to criticize him you will suffer torment and retribution. During Muhammad's life of course many people thought him insane and poets and poetesses who questioned his mental balance were of course murdered on his orders. What prophet of peace does not murder people ? Surely Christ or Zoroaster were famous for their orgies of killing, war, murders and mayhem ?
Sura 44 is yet another sad chapter in a very sad book, of a pre-iron age cult.
