Book Review 1: Islam Dismantled  by Sujit Das, Ali Sina

“Islam, instead of examining Islam to see if it fits within the good life. As Ataturk, the founder of Modern Turkey commented (cited Peter, 2010, p. 362), “ This is Islam, an absurd theology of an immoral Bedouin, a rotting corpse which poisons our lives.” From the very beginning of Muhammad’s mission, neither Muhammad nor Islam had any shortage of critics. From the point of view of historical truth, only the scholar has the right to criticize, but from ethical or social point view the right of criticism belongs to everyone. Even the most sympathetic scholars seem to have genuine problem with writing about Muhammad as a Prophet under divine guidance and the Qur’an as the authentic word of a God.”

Das has produced an excellent psycho-biography, premised on Freudian analysis, on the cult of Submission's founder Muhammad. The basic premise of Freudian psychology cannot be disputed – namely that the subconscious mind which controls 90% of the brain and its activities, is responsible for much behavioural, cognitive functions and dysfunctions. Freud was the first man to open up this new world of subconscious development to scientific investigation. Though some aspects of Freudian analysis are disputed, the incontrovertible fact is that the core of Freud's rationalist approach is not. The id, the ego and the super-ego, are useful tools in analyzing why a person will act in a certain way, and how those actions and attitudes were formed.

Applying Freud to Muhammad is eminently worthwhile. The world is forced to believe that this illiterate Arab political-military adventurer was a 'prophet'. No prophet in the Judeo Christian tradition led 80+ military campaigns, possessed 15-25 sex slaves, killed, murdered, assassinated, and covered himself in gold and luxury. No prophet in the Judeo-Christian tradition developed a handbook which was racist, supremacist, cultish, obsessed with violence and jihad, and which divided the world into 2 armed camps – Moslems or the cult group of choice blessed with predestined salvation vs. the rest who are preordained to go to the hellfire. No free-will here.

“As Margoliouth (cited Warraq, 2000, p. 340) commented, “The character attributed to Muhammad in the biography of Ibn Ishaq is exceedingly unfavorable … for whatever Muhammad does he is prepared to plead the express authorization of the deity. It is however, impossible to find any doctrine which he is not prepared to abandon in order to secure a political end. At different points in his career he abandons the unity of God and his claim to the title of a Prophet. This is a disagreeable picture for the founder of a religion, and it cannot be pleaded that it is a picture drawn by an enemy.”

As Das proves using clinical psychoanalytic, Muhammad was insane. This is the only explanation which rationally and common-sensibly explains the pagan-fascism of the Koran, early Moslem history, and the totalitarian creed of Submission, in which there is no free-will, no individuality, no Golden Rule and no tolerance. The mosque is the state, and the state is the mosque. Witness the following:

Allah created Muhammad before anything else ! [a sure sign of insanity]

“The only purpose of the above astonishing claims was to prove that Muhammad was a chosen Prophet of Allah before his birth and he was born guided. In fact the Muslim scholars claim that his prophethood was established even before Adam was created. It is said that Allah made an agreement with all the future Prophets, and under Allah’s agreement all the future Prophets accepted and acknowledged Prophet Muhammad as the final Prophet and told their followers to believe in him. When Amina (Muhammad’s mother) was pregnant, she heard a voice tell her, “ You are pregnant with the Lord of this people, and when he is born, say ‘I put him in the care of the One from the evil of every envier’, then call him Muhammad ”. Sometimes Amina would see a strong light shining from her belly by which she could make out the castles of Syria (Aslan, 2006, p. 19).”

Freud explains Muhammad’s madness:

“A quote from Freud (Strachey & Gay, 1966, p. 104) will help us to understand Muhammad’s sincerity and such misleading truthfulness, “ Doctors have observed cases in which a mental disease has started with a dream and in which a delusion originating in the dream has persisted; Historical figures are reported to have embarked on momentous enterprises in response to dreams ”. If there is any truth in Islam, it is this deceptive truth amidst a vast ocean of falsehood. When the Qur’anic verse 17.1 was revealed, the falsehood of al-Mi’raj dream-hallucination became sacred. In the history of religions, the lunacy of Muhammad’s night’s journey is one of the most absurd lies ever uttered in the name of religion. Muhammad was a neurotic patient who needed psychoanalytic treatment.”

“Latent dream-thoughts : wish-fulfillment, ambition fulfillment, erotic wishes, anger, self-glorification, frustration. When Muhammad’s prophetic claim was under serious doubt after the satanic verses incident, he had a strong desire to reinforce it. As Freud (Strachey & Gay, 1966, p. 264) wrote, “Dream-work consists essentially in the transformation of thoughts into a hallucinatory experience. How this can happen is sufficiently mysterious ”. Muhammad wanted to replace the Ka’ba with a more credible shrine, desperately needed a new Qibla (direction of prayer) and a new object to exploit. He simply dreamed off the satisfaction of his secret needs.”

Meccans knew he was insane

“The contemporaries of Muhammad called him majnoon (lunatic, crazy, possessed by jinn) (Sina, 2008, p. 6) or a soothsayer kahin. This is very explicit in the ten Qur’anic verses 15.6, 23.70, 34.8, 34.46, 37.36, 44.14, 52.29, 68.2, 68.51 and 81.22. In a few instances, there are verses 21.5, 36.69, 37.36 and 52.30 where an alternative explanation was given that Muhammad was an ambitious but fanciful poet who had merely invented it all.”

“When Muhammad first began preaching in Mecca, he thought that the Meccans would accept his religion. But the Meccans were not receptive to him which made Muhammad angry, and he started taunting them for years by insulting their religion and Gods. Meccans refused all dealings with him and his followers. Eventually to appease the Meccans, Muhammad recited the following Qur’anic verses, Have you then considered the al-Lat and al-Uzza and Manat, the third, the last ... these are the exalted Gharaniq (a high flying bird) whose intercession is approved. (Q: 53.19-20) Al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat were some of the local idols worshipped in Mecca. Previously Muhammad had spoken against them in his monotheist preaching but now he recited that their “intercession is approved.”

“Though the early Arabs turned away from Muhammad knowing that he was a lunatic, they were kindhearted and were even ready to pay for medical assistance to cure his lunacy (Haykal, 1976, ch. 5). But instead of listening to them, Muhammad started putting up resistance in the interest of his illness and against those people who wanted to help him. Allah revealed, When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. “Is this, (they say), the one who talks of your gods?” and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious! (Q: 21.36) The above verse confirms that Muhammad was hurt by the ridicule which made him upset.”

Muhammad the Freudian Narcissist:

“....matter for a Narcissist, if these attributes are superficial and not accurate indicators of a person’s real worth; he takes them seriously and continues believing in his supremacy. Muhammad wrote in the Qur’an, Do not fear people, but fear Me. And, do not take a small price for My verses. Those who do not judge with what Allah has sent down are the unbelievers . (Q: 5.44). This Path of Mine is straight. Follow it and do not follow other paths, for they will scatter you away from His Path. With such Allah charges you, in order that you be cautious . (Q: 6.153).”

Muhammad the mentally ill Narcissist:

“One of the most common features amongst these people is “megalomania”, which is a non-clinical word defined (Fowler, 2010, p. 278) as, 1. A psychopathological condition characterized by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence. 2. An obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions. According to traditional Islamic sources Muhammad was a megalomaniac. In Islam only belief in Allah is not enough to enter paradise and Muslims must believe the prophethood of Muhammad also. If Muhammad was only a spokesman of God, why Muslims have to praise Muhammad in their daily prayers? Though in Islam Allah is portrayed as all-powerful, this is in theory only. In practice, Muhammad is the central figure in Islam and Allah is just a piece of decoration.”

“...malignant narcissism in his 1964 book The Heart of Man, describing it as a “severe mental sickness” representing “the quintessence of evil” (Monte, 1995, p. 595). He characterized the condition as “the most severe pathology” and “ the root of the most vicious destructiveness and inhumanity”. For a malignant Narcissist the outside world “has ceased to be real” because he has made himself the substitute for reality – his own “god and the world.”

Muhammad bigger than Allah:

“Allah very generously declared, “Were it not for you, I would not have created the universe.” (Tabaqat, Volume - 1). Narcissists are mentally sick and their claims are strange. They also lack in judgement (Vaknin, 1999, p. 19), and massive deniers of reality (Masterson, 1990, p. 93; Vaknin, 1999, p. 23). This is what we understand from the extraordinary claims of Muhammad.”

“Shahada”, the basic confession for every Muslim, associates the name of Muhammad with that of Allah in the same sentence – “La ilaha illa Allah wa-Muhammad rasul Allah”. This is how praising Muhammad is an integral part of the daily prayers of the Muslims. This is a serious blasphemy. Since the earth is divided into several time zones, and every moment somewhere on the earth, there are some Muslims praying to Allah facing Mecca, this unpardonable sin is being committed by the Muslims in turn ever since the birth of Islam. What an irony!”

Satanic verses make a mockery out of Islam and mad Muhammad

“According to Qur’an, the only miracle associated with Muhammad was the revelation of the Qur’anic Surahs themselves. But the satanic verses incident even refuted this Qur’anic claim as already discussed earlier. Qur’an is the only religious book which is expected to be read and recited in Arabic only. It is not necessary to understand the meaning of a single word. In Qur’an, there are large numbers of contradictions and inaccuracies, and grammatical, historical, scientific, numerical and ethical errors. This book is haphazardly written. There is no chronology, no chapters of definite subject matters. Often the verses are unrelated to other and a whole chapter is a mixture of many subjects at random. It is utter stupidity to believe that this book is from God.”

“This was Muhammad’s most embarrassing moment. Islam crumbled in the wake of the Prophet’s satanic indulgence. He desperately tried to make amends for the satanic verses and recited the following verse. Surely Allah does not forgive that anything should be associated with Him, and He forgives what is besides this to whom He pleases; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote error. (Q: 4.116) Subsequently, the relevant verses were also modified with the final form what is now in the modern Qur’an. Have ye thought upon Al-Lat and Al-'Uzza. (Q: 53.19) And another, the third (goddess), Manat? (Q: 53.20) What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female? (Q: 53.21) Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair! (Q: 53.22)”

“It [Satanic verses] was recorded by devout Muslims; like, al-Wikidi, al-Baydawi, al-Zamakshari, Tabari, Ibn Ishaq, Ibn Hisham, Ibn Sa’d and Bukhari. It is most unlikely that such a story would have been fabricated by all of them. While this event is well documented in Islamic sources, current day Islamic leaders rarely tell Muslims or the general public about it. We can make three logical conclusions from this satanic verses incident. First; a Qur’anic verse can be modified or deleted at a later date. Second; it casts a shadow over the veracity on Muhammad’s entire claim to be a Prophet, and finally; Satan proved that Qur’an is not a miracle.”

The above laid out by Das is all true. The made up Koran. Muhammad as big or bigger than Allah. Moslems must recite that Muhammad was Allah's only messenger – or they go to hell. The 'missing verses from Satan' which were a political ploy to buy Meccan pagan support. Hiding in a cave at age 40 and having 'visions' probably due from a lack of food, water, air, and stemming from a latent mental illness. The Meccan claims of his insanity. The violence of his dictatorial rule in Medina and the extension of his cult using war, to conquer Mecca – a sure sign of mental imbalance. The stacks of dead bodies – Christian, Jewish, Pagan. Unlimited, coercive, insatiable, demented sex with 15-25 sex slaves. 20% of all booty given to 'Allahs' Messenger through war, brigandage, plunder and the rape of innocents. Allah invented by Muhammad as a mixture of Hub'Al the moon deity with J-C ideas about monotheism. The outright and usually misinformed plagiarism from J-C texts which are found in the Koran. All of this escapes the attention of the post-modern, multi-cultural world at large. All of this tells us that Muhammad was very mad indeed.

The conclusion is clear - Muhammad was mentally unstable. So what does it all mean ?

“The famous historian of international reputation, author, researcher and an expert of Islamic history of India, Sir Jadunath Sarkar (1870 - 1958) mainly focused on the intolerant attitude of Islam. According to him (1972, pp. 163, 164, 169), The murder of infidels is counted a merit in a Muslim. It is not necessary for him to grow a rich growth in spirituality. All he needs to do is to slay a certain class of his fellow-beings [infidels] or plunder their lands and wealth and this act itself will raise his soul to heaven. A religion, where followers are taught to regard robbery and murder as religious duty, is incompatible with the progress of mankind or with the peace of the world. The toleration of any sect outside the fold of orthodox Islam is no better than compounding with sin and the worst form of sin [according to Islam] is polytheism, the belief that the one true God has partners in the form of other deities.”

Islam – Submission – is a pagan, violent and quite fascist cult. As Sarker noted, it is a Moslem duty to spread Muhammad’s cult using force and blood-shed. Infidels are apes, pigs, detritus, hated by Allah, cursed by Allah, predestined for hellfire and eternal punishment. So why not kill them in this life too ? This is ultimately, the sick, sad legacy of a criminally insane cult founder. Islam is in the main, a perverted and fascistic cult.
