Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.

It is absurd to ascribe to a raging cult document which has its antecedents in the Bronze-Age, the appellation of 'tolerant'. The Koran is distinctly and resolutely intolerant, as is the entire cult of Islam. Believe in Muhammad and Allah or hell-fire is your reward. As Sura 78 clearly states, Christians are going to be destroyed. But at least, magnanimously, the Koran has warned them:
78:40 Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!"
Christians are going to hell because they rejected the totalitarian entirety of Muhammad's cult:
78:22 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundary limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.),
78:23 They will abide therein for ages,
78:27 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning
78:28 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely.
78:30 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment.
Hell is a variety of temporal Moslem terror full of surprise attacks and rather sadistic punishments:
78:21 Truly, Hell is a place of ambush,
78:24 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink.
78:25 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges.
78:26 An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes).
Christians are evil and in the Koran, linked with Satan. For these 'losers' and criminals in the next world there shall be no 'young full breasted women' [78:33] and young boys in 'paradise' to serve them and fondle with. They will be too busy drinking pus from their wounds and boiling water.
For clever Western Marxists and self-loathers the above themes of hate and bile are not Bronze-Age dictums but rather the apotheosis of human spiritual development.
