Until the advent of materialism and 19th c. dogma, Western Civilisation was superior to anything Islam had developed. Islam has not aided in the development of the modern world; in fact civilisation has only been created in spite of Islam. Proof of this resides in the 'modern' world and the unending political-economic and spiritual poverty of Muslim states and regions. Squatting on richer civilisations is not 'progress'. Islam is pagan, totalitarian, and irrational.
Moslems never need to be educated about the Infidel or even about Islam. This is because Moslems have supremacist certainty that their cult, whether they have bothered to read the supremacist-racist-dialectical nonsense that comprises the Koran and Hadiths; is destined to rule and control the world. The moon deity Hub'Al, progeny of the Babylonian Sin [Babylon conquered Arabia circa 590 BC], said so. Infidels might be tolerated, lied to, tricked, warred against or just ignored; but there is no doubt within the Moslem cult that non-Moslems are inferior beings.
Bronze-age and early Iron-age cults were creations to ensure slavish devotion to the local, tribal and protector-gods. Given the 'unique' nature of these gods and their friendly dispositions towards the cult and the tribe or state in question; violence against non-members was not only justifiable but a sacred duty. 'We are chosen by the god[s] to spread their rule'. The 'laws' as such, were harsh and brutal especially in criminal law. An eye for an eye, which is part of 'Koranic law', has its genesis in ancient Sumeria circa 2500 BC. Hammurabi's Babylonian codex of legal strictures is a treasure of Bronze-age 'justice' and violence. There is little doubt that the Meccan cult, which was once part of the Babylonian state; was imbued with both the theological and the practical legal systems of the Babylonians.
Violence and slavery imbue the ethos of all cults. This is due in part to the difficulty in controlling a Bronze or early Iron age society. These twin themes of course, inform every Koranic chapter. Out of the 96 verses in this Sura 56 or 'The Day of Judgement', only 57 preach violence against the Infidel. The hate speech verses include: 9, 41-56, 86, and 92-95. According to this chapter the Day of Judgement will see humans arraigned in 3 groups. The one's on the 'Right Hand' of Allah [the hand of power, control and slave ownership], are the most pious of Al-Lah's [Hub'Allah's] followers. Those of the Left Hand are the slaves, knaves, criminals, sinners, polytheists, and associates of Satan. Or more pertinently anyone who has rejected Muhammad, Allah or the Koran. They are doomed.

And you (all) will be in three kinds (i.e. separate groups). |

So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). |

And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). |
|
|
And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). |

|
These will be those nearest to Allah. |
The only recourse for a human is to please the Al-Lah thing, by following the Koran and Muhammad's 'law' and leadership. Only Al-Lah possesses free-will, the human does not. Since Al-Lah manages every second of existence [the Koran states that Al-Lah recreates the world every second]; and since this Al-Lah is responsible for every single event in the world [from the wind blowing, to what you think, to a camel drinking water]; it stands to 'reason' that pleasing this omnipotent, unknowable, and 'all-seeing' [to use the Koranic phrase] deity is the best way to an after-life, or indeed, the only way to a better temporal existence as well.
If you please this Al-Lah thing you might get to sit on his 'right hand' on Judgement Day. Those on the left will be the Christians, the Jews, the polytheists, and other criminals, losers, and Infidels who rejected the cult of Muhammad. The world is thus riven into two parts; the 'good' or the Moslems on the one hand, and the 'rest' on the other:

Verily, before that, they indulged in luxury, |

And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.) |
Christians are criminals because they worship a Trinity. Jews are criminals because their conception of Yahweh has nothing to do with the worship of the Meccan Al-Lah idol. Interestingly the Koran advocates the murder and destruction of Infidels but this is not a 'crime' and not punished but rather supported and rewarded by the Al-Lah idol. 'Muders' and crimes in the Koran mean the murdering of Moslems and the contravention against Islamic 'law'. This is obviously true given the self-absorbed and supremacist theology of Islam. Moslems if they follow the 'true path' or Sharia of Muhammad's cult document are blessed. The rest will go to hell-fire. From such a premise the demands to be a good 'slave' of the cult are easy to make and justify. The individual must be enslaved to the doctrines of Al-Lah and Muhammad. Slavery in Islam means freedom and paradise. No wonder modern-day 'academics' and 'thinkers' are so in love with Islam.
